As if being CEO & Founder of Service Stories isn't enough work, Joe also writes about AI innovation for Forbes and is currently focused on AI search optimization as his core topic. His background includes UX design and code consulting for Google, where his team helped with the merger of AdWords & AdWords Express, the launch of Google hardware, and Google Search, as well as Joe's primary focus: Google My Business—now Google Business Profiles.
After leaving Google, Joe wrote the book Automating Humanity, became an internationally-recognized keynote speaker on data privacy and AI innovation, and was a featured expert in Netflix’s The Social Dilemma. He's advised some of the world's largest lawsuits into Big Tech and created laws to help make the internet safer for our kids. You might have seen him on national news broadcasts—from Fox News to MSNBC; from Keshet in Israel to KBS in Korea; from Red Sky in the UK to CGTN in China—or maybe you've seen his TEDx Talk in Lincoln, NE, "Want to work for Google? You already do."
While he was traveling the world creating a safer internet, he also helped grow his family's auto shop 4x in size through digital transformation—especially focused on marketing and SEO. Service Stories was created to help his family's shop rank in AI answers. After it helped them grow their direct traffic more than 400% in less than 5 months he knew this was a product that needed to be sold to the rest of the world.
Today Service Stories works with service businesses of all types, but it all started in an auto shop. Who would have thought growth marketing could be as easy as pulling repair orders and turning them into content that told the story of the work Gateway Auto did every day? That's the story of Service Stories.
